We have been a part of the community of Kirkland for over 50 years and
have seen a number of changes take place. We have welcomed and added many
new faces to our number and we are currently occupying our third building.
Our commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ has not changed. We are still
moving forward to seek His will in His way.
As a church, we are totally non-denominational. We are an autonomous
(self-determining) congregation and are not bound by any creeds or articles
of faith produced by denominational boards or conventions. Our unity is
based on our mutual agreement as Christians to be governed by only the
pattern of the New Testament.
Our aim is to duplicate, in our work and worship, the first century church
of our Lord, which was (and should still be) non-denominational. We believe
that the unity among believers, that Jesus prayed for (John 17:20-23),
can only be non-denominational.
The love of Christ compels us to believe, follow and teach the Scriptures.
We will not require of anyone more than what our Lord requires and we
will not excuse ourselves to do less than what Jesus taught his disciples
to do.
